Meet the engineer behind the platform.

Damon Merchant, the Founder and CEO of Corbus AI, is a builder first — with over 25 years engineering production systems and leading engineering teams. He brings a rare combination of applied AI credentials: dual CCIE certifications (Routing & Switching, Voice), PMP, and a working portfolio of production-ready AI systems architected and shipped under his own name and brands.

Earlier in his career, Damon was a Certified Cisco Systems Instructor (CCSI) teaching official Cisco curriculum and a co-author or technical editor on five networking titles published by Syngress and McGraw-Hill, including the CCNA 2.0 Study Guide, CCDA Study Guide, and CCNP Routing. He attended Howe Military School and went on to study Computer Science at the University of Michigan.

As a Senior Voice Engineer at Fresenius Medical Care, he led Webex Calling deployments across hundreds of clinics and built “FIONA,” an AI-driven chatbot that automated Tier-1 IT operations and significantly reduced ticket volume. At State Farm he engineered a 40+ cluster Cisco Unified Communications environment and developed C#/.NET tools for enterprise-scale automation. He has also held senior engineering and consulting roles at DMC (Detroit Medical Center), DGI, and United Shore.

Over the past few years he has personally architected and shipped a wide range of AI products through Corbus AI — including AMIR (Artificial Medical Intelligence Researcher, an 80+ stage AI pipeline producing pharmaceutical research dossiers), B.R.I.E.F. (end-to-end AI marketing campaign generation), CorbusCrew (autonomous AI employees that join meetings, manage email, and execute work across 83+ tools), Visual Artist Studio (AI-powered music video production), Live Tarot and Virtual Shepherd (both live on Google Play), and CORA (a private-beta AI FX trading agent). Upcoming releases include C.I.N.E.M.A., Actor Studio, Interactive Cinema, Virtual Therapist, and Virtual Sweetheart.

In 2024, Damon was a featured speaker at the American Film Convention on AI’s role in modern production pipelines — discussing technology in filming and his upcoming C.I.N.E.M.A. project.
